SensorCut Pro - för p-sensor
Cut out parking sensors without leaving scratches
The SensorCut Pro allows installers to wrap and cut out bumper sensors on vehicles without having to use a knife on the body of the vehicle. This two piece set can help lower install times on sensors by up to 90% and reduce the risk of damage to zero. This tool was designed by The Wrap Institute and XIX3D.
SensorCut:
The SensorCut is for cutting the outside portion of the gasket that surrounds the sensor. It is made out of the same special plastic from the Golia line so it’s sharp and durable. The shape, modeled after Japanese kitchen knives, cuts evenly and smoothly. Additionally, since it is plastic, there is zero risk of damaging the paint or rubber around the sensor.
The SensorCut comes in 4 sizes: 16mm, 17mm, 18mm, 19mm
Each size comes in a pair which ensures that there is always a sharp SensorCut to use.
SensorCut Stencil:
The SensorCut Stencil comes in 10 sizes:
14,0 mm, 14,5 mm, 15,0 mm, 15,5 mm, 16,0 mm, 16,5 mm, 17,0 mm, 17,5 mm, 18,0 mm, 18,5 mm
Outside Gasket Protocol:
- Before wrapping, take a few seconds to find the right size needed for the outside cut
- Wrap the bumper and form the film around the outside part of each sensor with the corner of a squeegee
- Take the SensorCut and place it uniformly around the sensor
- Press gently towards the sensor and turn it left and right one or two times
- Use tweezers to grab an edge of the cutout piece and lift it safely away from the bumper
- Use a squeegee or tucking tool to seal the film to the base or behind the gasket
Inside Gasket Protocol:
- Place the SensorCut Stencil on the sensor to find the right size needed
- Place the SensorCut Stencil flat on a cutting mat, take a scrap piece of the wrapping film and bridge over the cutout
- Use a sharp knife and make a 360-degree cut along the edge of the stencil
- Place the cutout on a tucking tool or hold with tweezers to avoid contamination of the adhesive
- Place uniformly on the inside portion of the sensor
- Add heat to relax the film first then seal to the edge or behind the gasket
