General
For you, as a private individual, the Distance Contracts Act (see below regarding the right of withdrawal) and the Consumer Sales Act apply, which contain strict provisions; this means that the law applies even if you have agreed otherwise. For businesses, including sole proprietors, the Sales Act applies, which is a discretionary law; this means that agreements between businesses take precedence over the law.
We comply with the GDPR. When you, as a private individual, register and place your order, you also consent to our storage and use of your personal data in our business operations in order to best fulfill our obligations to you. We protect your data in accordance with the GDPR, and you have the right to access your data and to have it deleted if you so desire. Should any provision be found invalid under applicable Swedish or EU law, this shall not render the terms and conditions of sale invalid in their entirety; rather, the invalid provision shall in such a case be replaced with equivalent legal text.
VN Vinyls AB disclaims all liability for the use and installation of products. As the user, you are responsible for ensuring that the product(s) are used correctly and lawfully and that they are installed properly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Always test-install a small piece of vinyl on the surface where you intend to apply the vinyl. This is because different materials may have varying levels of adhesion and sensitivity during installation and removal.
We recommend always using vinyl from the same production batch for a single project, as color shades may vary between different production runs or batches.
We recommend purchasing a sample piece or color swatch before ordering materials so you can see the product before placing your order. This allows you to check the color, finish, and shade. It is difficult to accurately reproduce color, finish, and shade on a screen, and these can vary depending on the camera, lighting, screen, etc.
Ordering
If you are under 18 years of age, you must have parental consent. Such consent can be provided by a parent sending their explicit permission to us via email. All fraudulent orders are tracked and reported to the police, and if we have suffered financial loss, we will seek damages.
Payment and Delivery
Once you’ve added items to your cart and proceed to checkout, you’ll see the applicable payment method, whether prices include or exclude sales tax, and the applicable sales tax rate, if any. Delivery will take place within 30 days unless a longer delivery time is specified at the time of ordering.
In addition to the price, shipping costs may apply. If so, these will be listed at checkout in the online store. Normally, no additional fees apply, but if they do, this will be clearly indicated during the ordering process. In the online store, items may be marked with a delivery indicator. We reserve the right to remove items that are unavailable from your order and issue a price adjustment for those items.
If you wish to order a different, equivalent item, this will be considered a new order. If you wish to cancel an item due to a delay in delivery, you may do so until the item has been processed, i.e., until an invoice or shipping document has been generated. Partial shipments are made only at your request and will incur additional shipping costs for you. When you place your order, the applicable shipping method will be displayed at checkout.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the address you provided at the time of ordering is correct. Delivery is only available within Sweden, unless otherwise specified.
Unclaimed Shipment
It is your responsibility to pick up the package at the pickup location within the time frame specified on the shipping notice. If you are unable to receive the package upon delivery or do not pick it up at the pickup location, it will be returned to us, and we will charge you a reasonable amount for shipping and administrative costs (at least 350 SEK). If you have ordered a custom-made or cut-to-size item, it cannot be returned, and full payment must be made for the product. If these costs are not paid, the claim will be referred to a collection agency.
Order Changes
You may make changes to your order for in-stock items until the order has been fulfilled. If the change is approved, any price differences will be adjusted according to the price in effect at the time of the change. Private individuals have a right of withdrawal; see the section titled “Right of Withdrawal.”
Right of Withdrawal / Returns
As a business: Businesses have no right of withdrawal or right of return unless otherwise agreed. For our courses and training programs, no right of withdrawal applies; reservations are binding, and payment must be made regardless of attendance.
As a private individual: Under the Distance Contracts Act, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days. However, you do not have a right of cancellation if the total amount you are to pay is less than 400 SEK. You also do not have the right of withdrawal if you have ordered an item manufactured according to your specifications or that has otherwise been clearly personalized, or a product that is made-to-order and was specially ordered for your purchase. For products such as vinyl, window tint, stone chip protection film, and headlight film that are cut to size upon order (less than a full roll), the right of withdrawal does not apply.
Please note that, by law, you are responsible for paying the return shipping costs and may be required to pay for any reduction in the value of the item to the extent that it results from your handling of the item beyond what is necessary to determine its characteristics or functionality. The cancellation period begins on the day you receive the item. If you have ordered multiple items or if the item you ordered consists of multiple parts, the cancellation period begins when you receive the last item or the last part of the item.
If you cancel the purchase, the item must be returned unused, in undamaged condition, and with the packaging/seal/technical seal intact. If you wish to exercise your right of cancellation, please follow the instructions under the “Customer Service” tab. You will receive confirmation that we have received your message, after which we will determine whether you meet the conditions required to exercise your right of withdrawal. You will then receive a response via email from us, which will include instructions on how to return the item, if applicable.
Under Swedish law, the customer is responsible for the cost of returns. If you would like us to provide a return shipping label, the cost will be at least 150 SEK for return shipping, depending on the size and weight of the package.
Returns must be shipped to us via, for example, Posten’s business package service to our address:
VN Vinyls AB, Hyvelgatan 39B - 74171 Knivsta
If a package is sent to a pickup point or terminal, it will NOT be picked up; instead, it must be delivered directly to us. For our training courses, you, as a consumer, have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase.
Upon receipt of the returned item, the purchase price will be refunded to you within 14 days from the date we received notice of your right of withdrawal.
Services: If you have ordered a service, the cancellation period begins on the day we confirmed your order. If you have consented to the service beginning and it has been completed, you cannot cancel the order if you previously agreed to waive your right of cancellation. You also do not have the right to cancel if the service was started during the cancellation period with your consent, and the service, due to its nature, cannot be returned if the seal has been broken or you have registered the license. Complaints and Refunds in Certain Cases
If you, as a private individual, have received a damaged product, or if we have sent the wrong item, you must file a complaint as soon as possible and no later than 2 months from the time you discovered or should have discovered the defect. The complaint period is a maximum of 3 years, depending on the nature of the product and any warranty provisions.
In the case of shipping damage: If you receive a package damaged during shipping, you must report this immediately to the courier or delivery agent and document the damage. If the damage is discovered later, it must be reported to us and the shipping company as soon as possible, no later than 14 days after receipt.
If you are a business owner and have received a damaged product, or if we have sent the wrong item, you must file a complaint as soon as possible after receiving the item. This applies to both individuals and businesses: the damaged or incorrectly shipped item must be returned in the same packaging and via the same shipping carrier as when it was received, along with a detailed description of the defect.
In such cases, you should file a complaint through our website by following the instructions under the “Customer Service” tab. If we are unable to send you a replacement item within a reasonable time, we will reimburse you for the return shipping costs as well as the amount you paid for the damaged or incorrectly shipped item.
Compatibility issues often arise between different products, so we recommend that you find out as much as possible before placing your order to avoid unnecessary costs.
Printing Errors, etc.
We reserve the right to correct any printing errors, pricing errors, or inaccuracies in the information and specifications regarding the products and services in our catalog.
Force Majeure
