The Steinel HL Scan is an accessory designed to monitor the temperature of the workpiece’s surface when using a heat gun. A temperature that is too high can damage the workpiece, while a temperature that is too low can result in poor workmanship.
Perfect for those applying film, for example during post-heating, or for window tint during shrinkage
When the set temperature is exceeded, the HL Scan issues both a visual and an audible warning. The alarm is triggered as soon as the set temperature value is exceeded or not reached. A red backlight indicates the temperature is too high; a green light indicates the temperature is within the set tolerance range (i.e., the ideal temperature); and a blue light indicates the temperature is too low. The warning tolerance range can be set individually. The visual and audible warning signals can be deactivated if necessary. The HL Scan measures the temperature of various surfaces without contact. To achieve accurate temperature measurements for different materials and surfaces, the emissivity value can be set on the HL Scan; see the table in the user manual.
The HL Scan can be used with the HL 1920 E, 2020 E, HG 2120 E, and HG 2320 E heat guns.
